Legends by Lantern Light: On the Eve of Antietam

MHAA’s popular Legends by Lantern Light program returns with a look at Leesburg in the fall of 1862. The Army of Northern Virginia passed through these streets on their way north to invade Maryland and carry the war out of Virginia. Hear firsthand accounts of that fateful time from the soldiers and civilians that experienced it. This program takes place outside and will feature walking, so please dress appropriately and wear comfortable walking shoes.

The tour begins at the Loudoun Museum, located at 16 Loudoun St. SW, Leesburg, VA 20175.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Walking is involved; please dress comfortably. For more information call 540-687-6681 or email info@mosbyheritagearea.org.
