  • Pelham Middleburg, VA 20118 (map)

Join celebrated Civil War historian Dennis Frye, as we dive into the complex relationship between General McClellan of the Army of the Potomac and President Abraham Lincoln, at the time of the Battle of Unison in the fall of 1862. VPHA Education Director Travis Shaw will also take us through the specific troop movements and role of the Confederate artillery commander John Pelham during the battle.

The program will take place at historic Pelham, built in 1878 and named for the famed Confederate.  After the discussion concludes, we will adjourn for a beer and wine reception at the historic home.
