VPHA 25th Anniversary Celebration

Join us as we celebrate 25 years of preservation through education in the Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area!  Enjoy a family-friendly day at the historic Goose Creek Bridge with live music, food, drink, and a living history timeline to take you through hundreds of years of local history.

The event features activities throughout the day, including:  

·  Live bluegrass music from Bess Putnam and the Dargan Benders.

·  Historic interpreters teaching local history from the 18th-century through World War 2.

·  Guided tours and hikes for all ages. 

·  Full Schedule below!

Beer, wine, soft drinks, and fresh oysters are included with admission!  Barbecue will be available for purchase as well.

Tickets purchased in advance are $50 for adults 21 and up, $20 for students 13 to 20, and Kids 12 and under are free.

Tickets purchased at the gate are $60 for adults 21 and up and $25 for students 13-20.

  • 12:45: Remarks and Acknowledgements

  • 1:00-1:15: Revolutionary Virginia Presentation

  • 1:15-1:30: Soldiers of the Early Republic Presentation

  • 1:30-2:15: Second Band Performance

  • 1:45-2:00: World War I Doughboy Presentation

  • 2:15-2:30: World War II Vehicles and Equipment Presentation

  • 3:00-3:45 Third Band Performance

  • 4:00: Gates Close
