Drive-Thru History: Virginia Doughboys and the Great War

  • Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area 1461 Atoka Road Marshall United States (map)

Join us for a brand new family history event! Stop by the Rector house and enjoy some history outdoors. Bring a blanket, a picnic dinner, and your curiosity as we explore different local history topics!

Our first Drive-Thru History will be an in-depth look at the local men who went off to fight in the First World War. Living historians will walk us through the clothing, weapons, and equipment they carried, as well as their personal stories and experiences on the front lines.

We ask that all visitors please wear masks and respect a 6 foot social distance. This event is free and open to all ages.
