History on Tap: What's Up-perville?

The historians take a trip to the historic village of Upperville to retell stories from the area's fascinating past. Special guest appearance by historian Alison Herring, who will tell the story of an 1837 baptism record of an enslaved child with an extraordinary tie to Upperville that stretches across 184 years.

Beginning at 6:30 there will be a short, optional walking tour of some private historic sites in Upperville. If you are interested in the tour it will meet in the courtyard of Trinity Church. The Historians on Tap talks will begin at 7:00 at Trinity Church. Feel free to bring camp chairs, blankets, and a picnic dinner.

Beer will be available for purchase at $5 a drink. Cash is preferred, but credit cards accepted.
