Established in New York in 1900, the Orange County Hounds are one of the oldest and most prominent hunts in the United States. In 1903, the hunt relocated to The Plains, Virginia, where they made an indelible impact on the culture and landscape of Virginia’s Hunt Country.
Join VPHA to learn about the history of the Orange County Hounds and enjoy a panel discussion with special guests Bundles Murdock, OCH Honorary Secretary, R. A. Pearson, author of The Orange County Hounds, The Plains, Virginia: A History, and Malcolm Matheson, III M.F.H. for an intimate conversation about one of the country’s most prestigious equestrian organizations.
